The other day I had the pleasure to be part of a beautiful project and not only that, a sustainable project, a passive eco house with minimal maintenance and upkeep costs, a concept developed by Daniel and Mircea from Miradex Wooden Buildings, manufacturer of prefabricated timber structures in TIMBERFRAME system, authorized MiTek Romania.
As we can learn from the project page, Nidus Home is a unique concept of modular house, 100% prefabricated according to your specifications and wishes. In addition, only natural materials are used and it comes with a predictable purchase and maintenance cost. It’s an eco-friendly home, fully customised and delivered to you turnkey, ready to live in.
The task of ISOGREEN was to create an efficient thermal insulation that achieves the heat transfer coefficient of passive house walls (somewhere between 0.10 – 0.15 W/m²K) and a thermal resistance (R-value) of over 7.5.
Thus, we installed a layer of ISOGREEN FCH100 cellulose fibre insulation with a thickness of 30 cm at a density of 55-60 kg/mc.
To protect and seal the insulation layer we used PRO CLIMA’s Intello Plus, a reinforced vapour barrier film with an intelligent function that reacts to humidity and TESCON VANA, a multifunctional adhesive tape for sealing membranes over overlaps, edges, connections and penetrations, all by NZEBshop – shop for smart homes.
So, you can see the final result in the pictures below, the modules of a prefabricated house that can be assembled quickly, safely and efficiently, upgradable, later other modules or functions can be added such as terraces or garage, but also affordable, with a predictable and optimized purchase cost for each stage of the project.
